Heather Nova, born Heather Allison Frith, (Bermuda; July 6, 1967) is a singer-songwriter and poet. By the end of the 1980s, after leaving RISD, Heather moved briefly to New York City (where she unsuccessfully tried to interest some major labels in a demo), before moving to London, England, a place she still calls home. She has British citizenship due to her Bermudan origin. In 1990, she released her first recording, an EP called "e;Heather Frith"e; — she had not yet changed her name by then.

Omnia is a Pagan folk band based in the Netherlands playing mostly self-composed music, with a couple of traditionals from places like Ireland, Brittany and Afghanistan. The music is 100% acoustic – no synthesisers, no electric instruments, no programming. They have released several CDs on their own Pagan Scum label, as well as a live DVD. Omnia was formed as early as 1996. Prime bandmembers were Steve (flutes, darbuka, bouzouki, vocals) and Luca (didgeridoos, vocals). In 2002 Jenny joined in, adding harp, hurdy-gurdy and bodhrán.

Nits (formerly The Nits) are a dutch art rock group, founded in 1974 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Their musical style has varied considerably over the years, as has their line-up with the core of Henk Hofstede (the group"e;s lead singer and lyricist), Rob Kloet, drummer, Robert Jan Stips (Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, Golden Earring), keyboards. Their biggest hit in the Netherlands was "Nescio" (1983), a tribute to the Dutch author Jan Hendrik Frederik Gr�nloh. The major hit that brought the band to the attention of an international audience was "In the Dutch Mountains" (1987).

Amanda Strydom is one of South Africa"e;s most celebrated artists. Not only a singer and cabaret performer, as most people know her, she also writes most of her own lyrics and plays, and is an acclaimed actress. Born in Port Elizabeth on July 23, 1956, she matriculated from Framesby High School in 1974. She also studied drama at Mari Mocke and Marlene Pieterse"e;s "Kinderteater" (Children"e;s Theatre) and excelled at local Eistedfodds. She can"e;t read a note of music, has no formal singing training, except for school choirs, church and the great echo in the bathroom of her parents"e; home.

Spinvis, which literally translates as "e;Spiderfish"e;, is Erik de Jong, a Dutchman living in the suburban jungle of Nieuwegein, Netherlands. In 2001, he produced his first album, Spinvis, in his attic with computers, samplers, musical instruments and other objects lying around. Most remarkable are his poetic lyrics, that are at times nonsensical and non-consecutive. His third album, Dagen van gras, dagen van stro (Days of Grass, Days of Straw) was released in 2005.
